The GIGA, Advanced Computer Graphics Group (University of Zaragoza), is a multidisciplinary research group whose initial and fundamental area of work was the Realistic Simulation of Enlightenment. Over time it has diversified its areas of interest, which currently include virtual and augmented reality, virtual humans generation and computational photography.
From the point of view of the serious games, the closer activities are performed by the GIGA AffectiveLab, a research group enshrined in the Human Computer Interaction area. The work of the group during the last years has focused in four main issues: the management of virtual humans to be used as multimodal interfaces in real-time applications, the development of natural tangible user interfaces, the consideration of the affective aspects of user interaction and special effort has been made in developing accessible and suitable interfaces for everyone.
