The breadth and scope of computer games in learning: Applications to 14 to 19 learners with a specific focus on applicability to those who are classified as Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET).

This paper is the second of two documents commissioned by Becta exploring the use of games in learning.

Document 1, entitled “Computer Games and Learning – where next? The Breadth and Scope for the use of Computer Games in Education,” summarised below, establishes the cultural validity of video games for learning and gives an overview of the games and learning landscape.

This second document looks at how games based learning (GBL) can be applied to 14 to 19 learning, with a particular emphasis on those classified as NEET.
